Jadiclecia was shot in the street by two assailants riding a motorcycle.
A [trans woman] was brutally shot to death in the early hours of this Sunday (13), in the Barra de Lama neighborhood, in the municipality of Água Preta, in Mata Sul de Pernambuco.
The victim was identified as [deadname] da Silva, 26, known as Jadyclecia. According to police, Jadyclecia was on a public street with her brothers when two men on a blue motorcycle with an unidentified license plate approached and fired several gunshots.
Witnesses reported that the criminals fled immediately after the attack, heading to an unknown destination. A team from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU) was called, but upon arriving at the scene, they could only confirm the victim's death.
At the crime scene, experts found at least ten spent 9mm pistol shells, indicating the violence of the action.
The victim's family stated they were unaware of any motive or perpetrator of the crime. They also stated that Jadyclecia had no criminal record or involvement in illicit activities.
The body was sent to the Legal Medicine Institute (IML) in Palmares, and the case will be investigated by the Civil Police Station in Água Preta.
The motive and perpetrator of the murder are still unknown.
