NORTH CHARLESTON (AP) - Police say an 18-year-old man was killed as he took out the trash at his North Charleston apartment.
Authorities say Adolphus Simmons was shot several times Monday night and died about an hour later at the hospital.
Witnesses say they heard several shots after Simmons went out the door with the trash but didn't think anything was wrong because they often hear gunfire.
Police say they have no motive or suspects in the shooting.
