Luna's body was found in a dumpster next to the N250 Loures-Montemor highway on Thursday 28th February.
Her body showed signs of aggression and was sent for autopsy. It is believed that she was killed elsewhere and her body dumped.
The body was discovered by an employee of Resotrans - Collection and Transportation of Solid Waste, when he arrived at the company that is located on a field off the National Highway 250 (Estrada Loures-Montemor). It was 7:17 am and the official, after seeing the body in one of several containers of rubble, decided to go to the PSP, the Loures squad, and alert the authorities who immediately, came to the scene.
Realising that it was a homicide, they closed the area and called the Judiciary Police, who, at the end of yesterday afternoon, still did not know the identity of the victim. "She had no documents," a PC source told CM, reaffirming that it is a [trans woman's] corpse - the PSP announced that it was a woman - and that the causes and circumstances that led to her death. The body, which had some marks of aggression, will be autopsied. Found inside a container in Loures, the victim was killed elsewhere and the body was transported there. "At least that is what can be concluded through the remains found there," he told the CM police source.
Luna reportedly frequented the Conde Redondo area of Lisbon.
