Jerry was shot dead while sitting in front of her family's home.
A 45-year-old [trans woman], identified as Jerry, was shot dead when she was sitting in front of her family's residence in the city of Coreaú, in the interior of Ceará, on Thursday night (10).
According to the Secretariat of Public Security and Social Defense (SSPDS), teams from the Civil Police and the Military Police were called to the incident. Officers are searching the area to try to locate the suspects.
According to the folder, the victim had a history of threats and traffic crime. The case is investigated by the Coreaú Municipal Police Station.
In December 2023 arrested warrants were issued for three suspects.
The police carried out preventive arrest warrants between Wednesday (20) and Thursday (21), in municipalities in Ceará and Minas Gerais.
In Aquiraz, the court order was fulfilled against Tiago Frota Grigório, aged 34, who has a record of eight homicides, illegal possession of a firearm and criminal organization;
In the city of Sobral, the warrant was served against Francisco Eronilson da Costa, aged 28, with a history of three crimes of homicide, illegal possession of a firearm and vehicle theft;
In the city of Araxá, in Minas Gerais, a preventive arrest warrant was served against Janiel Lima de Menezes, aged 22, with a record of homicide.
