Raquelly was murdered on her birthday.

On the afternoon of last Friday (12), a trans woman was murdered in an adult film cinema, located on Rua Princesa Isabel, in the Santo Amaro neighborhood. The victim was identified as Raquelly Letícia, who was turning 24 on the date of the crime.

According to the Pernambuco Civil Police, she was found dead and suffering from stab wounds. "Investigations are ongoing until the crime is solved," the police said in a statement sent to Diario. The crime is being investigated by the Capital Homicide Task Force.

The report found that Raquelly had been involved in a street fight in downtown Recife a few days ago and had been avoiding the area because of the confrontation. Yesterday, friends and family were expecting her for a surprise birthday party.
