Daniela died in hospital a week after being shot on 25th February. The former mayor of a municipality in Caldas was arrested and remanded in custody.
A trans woman who was shot on February 25 by the former mayor of Philadelphia, William Jairo Noreña, at a residence in downtown Manizales, died on Thursday morning (March 5) at the Caldas Hospital.
The victim, 30 years old and a native of Riohacha (La Guajira), was in delicate health, in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and under sedation.
The injured man, who was shot in the buttocks, is in an ICU at another clinic in Manizales.
Noreña was sent to jail and on Thursday his resignation from the Commercial Sub-Management of Inficaldas was accepted.
Noreña Vásquez, 50, was sent to jail last Friday, although this does not make him guilty, and it will be a judge of the Republic who determines his responsibility.
Before this person's death, the Prosecutor's Office charged the official with attempted aggravated homicide and attempted simple homicide, which carries a minimum prison sentence of 16 years.
