Maria's body was found in undergrowth with signs of violence.

The body of a trans woman was found lifeless and with marks of violence in a forest area of Franco da Rocha, in the metropolitan region of São Paulo. She was only in her underwear.

The discovery happened after an employee of a farm located the body and called the Municipal Guard. The day before, there was a party at the site that ended around 7 am. The owner of the farm could not say if the woman was present at the celebration.

The suspicion is that she fell from a slab after the party. However, the police are investigating whether she died on the spot or had her body taken to the woods. The area has been cordoned off and no suspects have been located so far.
